Rollout schedule
Although the OxygenOS 16 launch event is set for October 16 in India, the update won’t reach all devices at once. The rollout is expected to start with the latest flagships — the OnePlus 13 series (13, 13R, and 13S) — followed by older premium phones and eventually the Nord lineup in later phases.
What’s new in OxygenOS 16?
The new update is based on Android 16 and promises several AI-driven improvements. One of the major highlights is the integration of Gemini AI within ‘Plus Mind’, allowing users to access contextual assistance — for instance, using screenshots to help plan trips or answer queries.
Leaks also suggest the arrival of lock screen widgets, along with refreshed icons, smoother animations, and revamped settings and notification panels. However, we’ll have to wait for the official release to confirm these rumored features.
